It’s almost here! In just hours we’ll be seeing thousands of people pour into the BCEC and dash to their favorite booths to check out all the cool new things. We hope we’re one of the booths you dash to! 
We’re located at Booth 512, next to Xbox and Twisted Pixel. Hopefully the giant “Behold!” sign will help point out where we are exactly…

We’ve started selecting the beta testers for the BattleBlock Theater Closed Beta! Selected registrants will be notified via e-mail in waves—BIG, crashing waves—and not all at once so don’t fret if you haven’t received anything yet! It will take some time to go through all the applications and it’s better to start early. If you haven’t filled out a registration form already, you can still submit one HERE. Don’t forget to read all the documents and pre-requisites you need to fulfill.
If you’re super stoked and can’t wait to see if you’ll be chosen, you still have a few more chances to get a guaranteed spot through our official contests held by various websites. This week IGN will be holding a contest on Thursday, February 14th. And for those who speak Italian, The Nerd Magazine is doing a special “Easter Egg Hunt” type of contest all week long. Just remember that even if you win any of these contests you will still need to adhere to the Terms & Conditions, NDA and fill out the beta registration form.

It’s the last week of January 2013. Do you know what that means? It means that a full month has already passed since the end of the world, according to the Mayan calendar. It also means that we’re getting closer to the BattleBlock Theater Closed Beta!
This week, the BattleBlock Theater Close Beta Official Contest will be held on Co-Optimus. You have until the end of the work week (or school week) to enter in their contest for a chance to get a reserved spot just for you! The Behemoth will only accept 10,000 participants for the beta, which we will select based on a number of things, so these contests are a great opportunity to exercise your creativity and luck.
So how do you win access from Co-Optimus? Since the entire “cast” of BattleBlock Theater are technically prisoners – Co-Optimus crew want to know what you did to get yourself locked up. Leave your crime in the comments on their contest page and they’ll randomly pick 10 winners after the contest closes on Friday, February 1st at 11:59EST.

NOTE: Even if you win the Beta spot, you MUST qualify according to the BBT Beta Terms & Conditions and have all the prerequisites fulfilled. Of course, we will need you to be registered on the Beta Registration Form. The process is the same, but you will be guaranteed a spot! Good luck!
