Sneak peeks of PAX preparations and website relaunch!

We’ve been hard at work making our final preparations before we hop on a plane and head over to PAX East, but before we leave, we have some fun stuff to show you. Remember those fuzzy things from last week’s post? Here’s a look at a special piece of PAX exclusive merch:

Money from all Ushanka Bear Hat sales will go to charity.

Introducing our brand new Ushanka Bear Hat! Hand-made by our very own Anna the Red, this will be an exclusive, limited edition, numbered hat only available at PAX East! Guaranteed to make your head even more awesome – because bears are awesome, and you want to be awesome too, right? Right.

We also wanted to give you a quick look at the control panel artwork for our BattleBlock Theater arcade cabinets:

We’ll have this art on our arcade cabinets at PAX, so be sure to stop by The Behemoth booth #512 to see how they look. Of course, we’ll have some other surprises waiting at our booth too. I’ll just let your mind go mad with anticipation as you wonder what in the world I could be talking about.

 

Website Relaunch

Last, but not least, we’re relaunching our site this weekend! We’re excited to bring you a whole new look to the website and our community will be moved over to new forums.

The site will be down intermittently from Sunday until Monday PST. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to get word of the debut.

As we continue our development on Castle Crashers, we wanted to try to get more information about the game out to all of our fans/readers. A few months back we started recording all of the work Dan was doing on the game. We just capture the video from his screen and then speed the clip up to about 600%, and it turns out amazing. As a result of the awesomeness (that’s not a word) of the video we went live with our dev blog, hopefully it gives everyone a little bit of an insight on the development process we go through.

That’s pretty much it for now, we’ve updated the page almost every day this week, and we’ll continue to make weekly updates as we get closer to our summer release. Thanks for all the continued support, and if you have any questions, please stop by our forums and say hello.

Update: One of our testers put togther this 3d rendering of one of the knights from Castle Crashers, and recorded the process. You should check it out

Website Updates

We’ve been updating the website for the past few weeks and have finally finished enough of the changes to go live. At first glance nothing really looks different, but there are quite a few new things to look at, so here we go:

  • Front page is now supported in 9 Languages!
  • Alien Hominid HD Downloadable Content section has been added. Check out all of the PDA Level Packs and Gamer Pictures we offer on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
  • News Archive has been updated
  • Comic-Con pages have been catalogued and listed by year
  • Weekly Leaderboard winners have been branched off in their own section under the News Archive
  • Alien Hominid Fan Art has been brought back, there are some good ones too!

As our 5th year at Comic-Con approaches, we are getting extremely busy here at the office. Preparing for Comic-Con usually takes most of our focus and energy, but we love going every year and meeting our fans. If you want to make it out this year our booth number is #4529, so be sure to come by and celebrate our 5 year Anniversary at the Con. We’re going to have new merchandise to sell, playable demos of both Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid, and tons of other surprises.
